and then he turned 5...

You guys I got to do a photoshoot this week with a sweet boy that I've been doing photos of for a few years now. It never ceases to amaze me just how fast these babes grow up! We went downtown to mix it up a bit & let me tell you, this boy is just about as charming as they come. He's got a smile that will melt ya, & a personality that makes you want to just hang out with him. Our shoot was so fun! We explored, we looked in pipes for birds, he told me how to take pictures & he even insisted on posing himself. He's a little stud & I can't believe he's already 5! Just look how much he's grown!

Watching these kids grow up, & seeing how fast they change is one of my favorite things about what I do. While we see them change, & grow physically when I start talking to them & exploring with them I get to see first hand just how much their worlds have changed. I get to hear how their interests have changed, I get to see how their imaginations are working, & for the short time I spend with them I get to experience the world through their eyes. It's when I'm able to connect with them & get on their level & step in to their world that I'm able to capture the greatest shots. I just love it. It truly amazes me how children grow & change & it's such an honor to get to capture it each year.
