When should I book my session?
I recommend contacting me once you’re in your second trimester. I’ll mark your due date on my calendar to ensure time is available for your session. We’ll set the actual date of your shoot once your little one has arrived.

How soon after delivery will we shoot?
I prefer to do newborn sessions between 7-14 days old. This doesn’t mean we can’t do it sooner or later, it’s just the ideal time frame to get all of the precious, curly poses you see.

I waited until after delivery, is it too late to schedule a shoot?
I always do my best to have time for newborns, I’ll most likely be able to get you in & I’ll do my best to make it happen for you!

What do I need to bring for my newborn’s session?
The short answer is nothing. I have a fully stocked ‘newborn closet’ complete with wraps, rompers, hats, headbands, & more! My hope is for your newborn session to be as stress free as possible. I always recommend you bring a few extra diapers, a pacifier & bottle if your little one is taking either. Other than that, you are welcome to bring special items/outfits, but can certainly show up with nothing but you & your baby!

Can you recreate an example I found on Pinterest?
I’m happy to create a session you’re envisioning, but I never guarantee certain poses. I very much let your little one lead the session & will never force your baby into a pose they aren’t comfortable in & believe me, they’ll let us know.

When should we do my session?
We’ll pick a date once you’ve entered your 2nd trimester. I recommend shooting between 28-34 weeks. This is just my recommendation & maternity sessions can certainly be done before or after this time frame. I’ve even done maternity photos the day before delivery!

Do you provide the outfit?
I’m happy to make recommendations, but don’t currently offer a client closet for maternity shoots.

I don’t know of any locations, do you have some in mind?
Absolutely! I will gladly make recommendations for your sessions location. Whether you want to stay in Montrose, or venture outside of town. I’ve always got location ideas in mind!

I have no idea how to pose, help!?
I aim to direct you during your session so you never have to wonder what you should be doing next. We’ll take some nicely posed images, & will be sure to create some natural moments for you to treasure.

What do you consider a milestone?
Anything 3 months & older. This could be a 3, 6, or 9 moth session. A cake smash for a 1st birthday, a themed Christmas shoot, a baptism or any special occasion you want to capture within the 1st year.

Do you create the backdrop?
Yes! I love working with you to capture your vision & making it come to life!

Can we do it outside?
Absolutely! If an outdoor session is more your taste, we can certainly still make your milestone session special. I like to make these as simple or extravagant as you’d like.

Can my 4 year old have a milestone session?
Of course! I am happy to create these sessions for any age, they are just typically geared towards younger kids.
