Newborn Sneak Peek

I often get asked what the ideal age is to capture these sweet newborn photos. I’ve been doing this long enough to definitely have a preference, which is right around 8-14 days old. I find babies at this age are easy to handle, settle, & pose with ease. Most newborn photographers agree, within the first 2 weeks is ideal, that 8-14 days is my personal preference. With that said, however, I’ll never turn you away regardless of your newborn’s age. I feel confident that beautiful images can be taken at any age, & while your older newborn might not be as sleepy, or willing to settle into a roly-poly pose, my focus stays on keeping them comfortable & content. When that happens, we still can get beautiful images for you to treasure.

Little Henry here is the perfect example. He came to me at 6 weeks old. His gallery is just full of wide-eyed shots(which doesn’t always happen with younger newborns)! He may have taken a little longer than a 2 week old to settle into a pose, but this handsome boy was comfortable & content & just look how beautiful these turned out!
