One of the best parts about being a photographer in Montrose is the location. I absolutely love that I can drive a short distance & find myself in some mountains full of beautiful views & gorgeous aspen trees. This weekend I got to venture out with this beautiful family. I’ve been capturing this family for a couple years now & always love every minute I have with them. Their little man was one of the last newborns I got to photograph before everything shut down this year. It quite literally felt like just yesterday, but also forever ago when his mama pulled him out of the car.

It’s so refreshing to be able to see people again. Every shoot lately has just been a breath of fresh air compared to all that has happened this year.

Creating these moments & capturing them beautifully for you to treasure is something I hope I’ll never grow tired of. I know many people want that perfectly posed shot to put above their fireplace mantle, and trust me we’ll be sure to get those, but I hope when you leave a shoot with me you remember the laughter. The genuine smiles, the slobbery kisses, the joyful moments, those are what I aim to capture with every shoot. Especially with these tiny little ones, the years go by so quickly, these are the moments to hold onto.
