Tea Party

I've been trying to sit down to share pictures from this adorable tea party for awhile now. Life has been so busy it just hasn't happened. So here it is!

I've been wanting to organize a fun shoot for my daughter & her sweet friends for some time now. I finally decided I needed to make it happen! My girl turned 5 this month & these sweet moments are flying by so fast! I just wanted some special pictures of her at this age doing something she loves. So I decided a tea party with some of her preschool friends needed to happen.

Praying it doesn't rain & that their other 2 friends arrive soon. :)

Unfortunately after we first got it all set up, it started raining. Then my daughter & her friend Selby ate most of the snacks before the other 2 girls arrived (no doubt she's my daughter!) In my head I was thinking 'well so much for this'. However, once the rain stopped & everyone arrived it was just perfect.

Notice the drastic snack change from the first shot, I would've eaten all the muffins & cookies first too ;)

Watching my daughter with her friends just melts my heart. They are sweet, & kind to one another. They laugh & talk & enjoy each others company in ways that I feel many adults just can't experience. It's their sweet innocence & love of life that just truly blesses my soul to witness. They can live in the moment & experience pure joy because that's what life is about at this age. My prayer for my daughter & for each of these girls is that no one would ever steal that joy from them. (and also that they would stay friends forever & I could make them do this again when they are seniors in high school...but that might be just wishful thinking. ha!)

I could go on & on about this but I think I'll stop right here & just share the images from that day.

I hope they make you smile as much as they do me.

Enjoy!
